Thanks for the memories!

We got to help Grandpa Stutz celebrate his 90th birthday on Sunday the 24th of August. It was a great 90 minutes or so! When I said to Uncle Craig, "90 minutes isn't enough to visit with everyone" he replied, "it's enough for Grandpa and Grandma". And yes, he is right. They were great sports out in the backyard, driving around in their little motorized seats. Grandpa was generous in his compliments towards Grandma.

Many, many family and friends visited, I think we counted 92 total! I will post a "first name" list in a post or two.

After some food (I'm not sure what all was there as I didn't get to it but I did see some KFC boxes and heard someone say "homemade root beer"), there was some cake (which I did get to try, one chocolate and one carrot) and some pictures. Brice et al were great sports to take a picture of those who were there at the picture time. (The "big group shot" is not all inclusive, but I love it! Aunt Susan wanted one of those "old fashion" family pictures like we used to take at reunions!)

For me, the best things were: Of course having both grandparents still around; the beautiful farm; all the extended family; seeing my step mom and three of my step brothers and their families, Luke & Ashley, Kasey and Sue, Josh and Christy (but Josh, Kasey and Lorna all left without saying goodbye to me!); and having LORI and BREANNE in town was awesome! (Lori taking a short trip from the Northwest where she lives and will be working on the Obama campaign and Breann from Texas in her 2nd year at BYU!)
It was fun to meet all the new babies, esp. the new Atkin addition!
