It's a REALLY small world after all...

Millie Stutz (David Landeen's cousin-once-removed) and McKenna (? Correct me if I'm wrong, Chanae) Wilson (Chanae Landeen's niece) at the Raymond (Emlyn Stutz') Family Reunion, Menan, Idaho, June 2008:

At David's wedding reception on Saturday; Jeremy, Millie and I said "Hello" and "Congratulations" to Aunt Ellen and Uncle Mark, David and Chanae. Then we met Chanae's parents and chatted for a minute. After they told us David and Chanae will be returning to Rexburg for school, Jeremy threw out the "Emlyn has relatives in Menan" line. The usual response to that is "Oh yeah, we've heard of Menan." Not this time, the Wilsons' response was "Our daughter-in-law is from Menan." So my eyes bugged out of my head and I said "Who's your daughter-in-law?" They said "A Raymond," at which point my eyes bugged out further and I said "Which one?" and they said "Cali," at which point I squealed like a schoolgirl and responded "She's my cousin!" Well, needless to say, I had to run out into the hall (where she was changing her baby's dress to get ready for a family picture) and give her a big hug and have her respond back the same way. So I explained to her husband (who didn't remember me from our Family Reunion last summer... boys...) that my husband (Jeremy) is David's cousin, who is his his (Brian's) new brother-in-law and his wife (Cali) is my (Emlyn's) cousin. His response was "I don't even wanna try to think about that one." Don't blame him. And don't blame you if you don't, either!

The bottom line is that Chanae Landeen is now my cousin-in-law twice over, whether she wanted to be or not! Congratulations again, David and Chanae!

It is really a small world! How cool that relatives meet relatives at a wedding. Well, that's one more reason that we're glad David is marrying Chanae.
